Brentwood, Tenn. three-star Logan Ruffin has signed a driver development deal with Turner Motorsports.

The 15-year-old will make his USARacing Pro Cup debut this weekend at Iowa Speedway and race at Rockingham and South Boston in Pro Cup competition prior to a 2010 rookie campaign in the series. He will also attempt to run the Snowflake 100, the Crate Late Model companion race to December’s Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida.

Ruffin rose to national prominence by winning the Crate Late Model championship during the 2008 World Series of Asphalt at New Smyrna Speedway. Since then, financial concerns have halted his on-track activity.

Turner Motorsports as a team will expand its Pro Cup Series operation to include the NASCAR Truck Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series in 2010. The team’s first Truck race came this spring at Dover with driver Scott Wimmer in the operation’s No. 31 entry.
