Logan To Be Featured in “NASCAR: The Next Generation” TV Series

NASCAR ACTION RACES TO VERSUS ON SEPT. 22 WITH SEASON PREMIERES OF

 

QUEST FOR THE NASCAR SPRINT CUP AND NASCAR-NEXT GENERATION

 

NEW YORK, N.Y. (September 20, 2010)—VERSUS will deliver more on-track excitement with additional motorsports coverage featuring weekly back-to-back episodes of two NASCAR shows, Quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR-Next Generation.  The hour of action will air on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. ET, beginning September 22.

 

Quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, now in its second season on VERSUS, is a fast-paced, up-close HD look at the 12 drivers competing in NASCAR’s 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship, complete with stunning race footage and an intimate behind-the-scenes perspective.  The show will air each week on VERSUS until the conclusion of the 2010 NASCAR playoff season.

 

Jimmie Johnson has dominated for the past four years and is looking to secure his fifth straight championship, but the 2010 competition is truly anyone’s Chase and is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing and exciting in recent history.  Johnson is ranked seventh behind current series leader Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer (#2), Kevin Harvick (#3), Kyle Busch (#4), Jeff Gordon (#5) and Kurt Busch (#6).

 

 

NASCAR-Next Generation is a five-part series which details the grueling process and sacrifices that are made to become a future star in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series.  The show will feature drivers such as Logan Ruffin, Jessica Brunelli, Marc Davis and Cole Whitt.  The premiere episode will illustrate the many different racing levels found across America and examines how the drivers from these series hone their skills in the hopes to compete in NASCAR’s premier series.
